Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 7

- Faith Formation

Formed by our Eucharistic experience, the Southeast Catholic Community strives to be a support system for families of all sizes and make-ups. Our goal is to partner with parents in fulfilling their promise to instruct themselves and their children in the faith of the Church. As we look forward to a new Faith Formation year beginning in late September, we are confident that our program will inspire you. It was designed to invite your family to find God every day in relevant and relatable ways.

Traditional Faith Formation Classes for
Grades Pre-K through 7

Between the two Sunday morning Masses at Blessed Sacrament, for your convenience, we will offer traditional grade-level faith formation classes in the Blessed Sacrament school building, from 10:40-11:55am. In these classes children gather with other children in their grade, along with a catechist (teacher) to learn about the topic for the day. Register your children below.

Preparation for First Penance will begin in October, and Preparation for First Eucharist will begin in spring. Just a reminder that all families that would like to prepare children for the sacraments of Confirmation, Holy Communion or First Penance need to be enrolled in a formal program (either a parish faith formation program or in a Catholic school) prior to beginning preparation.

Details about Sacramental Preparation
*** Please note that the Diocese requires a child to fully complete first penance requirements and sacrament before proceeding to first communion prep.
To make your first communion, the following is expected:
                 * Regular Mass attendance
                 * A full year of faith formation classes completed
                 * First Penance sacrament and preparation completed
* Attendance at the four First Communion preparation sessions
